Position            : ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - SUPPLYCHAIN / PROCUREMENT
Location           : Bangalore 
Experience       : 18 to 22 years 
Shift Timings    : 5 PM to 2 AM  IST  ( US Shift )
Education         : Any Graduation

PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR – SUPPLYCHAIN
Role  :-
Reporting to the VP – Supply Chain on a day-to-day basis and oversees several key functions within the supply chain department that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users, and to ensure Service Support and Service Delivery processes are in place to meet business needs.  

This position is a stakeholder facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the Supply Chain team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. 
This description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties within the group/department may be required in addition to changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time. There is a requirement for the candidate holding this position to recognize this and adopt a flexible approach to work.   
Responsibilities :-
·   The supply Chain Director is responsible for developing the supply chain strategy and to improve the supply chain’s productivity and reduce costs to make it more efficient. 
§  Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain. 
§  Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain. 
§  Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory. 
§  Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production. 
§  Analyse current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. 
§  Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes
§  Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution. 
§  Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies. 
§  Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials. 
§  Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions 
§  Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. 
· Managing a team of supply chain managers, coordinators, and specialists who are responsible for planning and executing supply chain activities 
·  Implementing new technologies to improve efficiency in the supply chain process 
Desired Candidate Profile :-

Candidates from Manufacturing industry especially -  AUTOMOTIVE / HEAVY ENGINEERING / WIND POWER INDUSTRIES.
Candidate must be willing to work in a Start-up environment during US working hours
Candidate shall be aware & hands on experience about Response time Metrics like
TAT , Inventory Turns , Cost per unit , Standard cost ,Price Variance
Candidate shall have sound knowledge of ERP system preferably SAP
Candidate shall strong people management skill & cross functional leadership
