General Description/Purpose
The Precast Installer may raise, place, and unite steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures and structural frameworks.
Essential Job Functions
Examines installation site and studies sketches or blueprints to determine materials, dimensions, position, tools, and assembly methods required.
Rig and install various precast components based on the guidelines.
Ensures components are erected in proper order and identify malfunctions.
Ensure drawings are followed
Make proper connections per drawings
Grout, weld, dry pack, and shim precast components as required
Load, unload, and transport construction materials
Mix, pour, and spread materials.
Clean and pile salvaged materials

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy loads, work in awkward spaces safely and stand for long hours. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proven and varied precast elements installation experience.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to construct objects, structures, and buildings
- Capacity to use discretion when examining installation instructions.
- Ability to read tape measure and drawings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Safety-conscious
- Able to work well with a team
