Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Design Engineer/Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of design-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual & Detailed Drawings:
Develop conceptual drawings, detailed architectural plans, and sectional views based on project requirements.
Translate conceptual ideas into technical drawings ensuring clarity and feasibility for implementation.
MEP Drawing Preparation:
Prepare Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings in accordance with approved concepts and engineering standards.
Ensure accurate layering, dimensioning, and annotation in all MEP plans.
As-Built Drawings:
Compile and prepare As-Built drawings reflecting the final installation as per site conditions.
Update and maintain records of any changes from the original design.
Coordination & Communication:
Collaborate closely with site engineers, supervisors, and factory personnel to gather inputs and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction or fabrication.
Design Creation Using AutoCAD:
Create accurate and high-quality 2D designs and blueprints using AutoCAD, based on customer specifications and project deadlines.
Modify existing drawings to accommodate design changes or enhancements.
Client-Oriented Design Adaptation:
Adapt design layouts to meet client requirements while maintaining functionality and optimal space utilization.
Incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, and project managers into the drawings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D is a plus).
Experience in preparing MEP, and as-built drawings.
Strong understanding of construction practices, technical drawing standards, and site coordination.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred:
Familiarity with other design software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks) is an advantage.
Previous experience in commercial buildings, industrial setups, residential housing, etc. would be a plus.
