Job Description - US Payroll | ||
| Payroll specialist is responsible to process the various components of payroll/ tasks like payroll queries, taxes, benefits and Garnishments, etc.. Ensure adherence to Payroll and HR policies, internal control and audit requirements, and service standards at all times., setups such as employee advances, Child support etc, Lien levy notices, reports and ensuring compliance with Federal and State Payroll requirements. | ||
| Role and Responsibilities | ||
| Pulling timecard reports from several tools, consolidating all the submitted & pending timecards, and sending them to the respective heads for quick approval before cut-off. | ||
| Check New hires HR onboarding documents (Federal & State) and audited thoroughly such as W2, W4, DD forms etc. | ||
| Ensure timecard status is checked and follow-up emails are sent for pending/missing timesheets. | ||
| Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. | ||
| Prepare the payroll input file based on the client pay schedule and approved cut-off dates. | ||
| Validating and verifying OT and other leaves per US State Law. | ||
| Employee database validation with timecards. | ||
| Analysing various inputs related to timecards and should have an active action control. | ||
| Having a thorough understanding of benefits deduction. | ||
| Keep track of each payroll of hourly rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc. | ||
| Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors. | ||
| Coordinating with the payroll provider for any excess /short deduction. | ||
| Experience in handling payroll and benefits audits. | ||
| Handle the clients in terms of understanding their requirements. | ||
| Training new staff and controlling effective payroll handling. | ||
| Prepare the reports to management on a weekly and monthly basis. | ||
| Skills required: | ||
| Experience in workday payroll, OSV & ADP Platform would be referred. | ||
| Able to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines. | ||
| Good verbal and written communication. | ||
| Must have MS Excel Skills | ||
