What You Will Be Doing
Responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes. The crane operator’s responsibilities include knowledge of lever and pedal control, driving cranes to the worksite, setting up the manufacturer’s operator’s manual, inspecting the crane for safety daily, and operating the crane under general supervision.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible to Operate the Certified / Assigned Crane in a Safe Manner as per the Companies.
- Manufactures SOP.
- Participates in Daily Safety meetings and other safety programs.
- Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and are correctly rigged.
- Assures that lifting gear is properly colored coded prior to use.
- Assists with inspection of slings, cables, straps, and the crane structure prior to lifting operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane.
- Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with the company Permit to Work system.
- Keep and update maintenance and activity log.
- Carry out basic repairs to machines
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorized Crane operator certification.
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane operations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift heavy loads, work in awkward spaces safely and stand for long hours. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
